January 2024

Jessie goes onto the Table Manners podcast and reveals wedding details, and per the Daily Mail, reveals she and Freddie met on a blind date set up by a mutual friend.

“He’s working in mental health; he’s gone back to university. He is gorgeous,” she says, via Evoke. “We have a little flat in Dalston, though Norfolk is our heart home. We probably split 50/50 between them at the moment. But we’ve only been in Norfolk for three years.”

She added, “We were originally going to move to Suffolk because we’d fallen in love there. Then friends of ours moved to Norfolk and bought this old place for practically nothing at auction, pulled the weeds out of it and just did the whole thing up. And then they showed us the house that we now live in, which is from the 1500s and falling down…an amazing old house that’s been there forever.”

Jessie also says Freddie is from Islington, and jokes, “I came to London at 17 and anytime I brought an English boyfriend back to Ireland, my granny would call him Séamus, whatever his name was. ‘How are you, Séamus?’ I don’t know why she did it. But Freddie stayed Freddie.”

December 2025

Per the Daily Mail, Jessie and Freddie welcome a baby girl in December 2025.

While speaking on the New York TimesModern Love podcast, Jessie reveals that playing a grieving mother in Hamnet brought out another side of her she hadn’t seen otherwise:

“I think when I was filming Hamnet, I deeply wanted to become a mother myself. And it was such a gift to move through this woman and her motherhood and her love and her loss before I became a mother myself. I think even getting pregnant and throughout my pregnancy and how I was thinking about what kind of birth I wanted and how I would be autonomous in choosing that as much as I could was very empowering. I think the thing I can hope to impart to her, and I’m sure she’s going to go on her whole own trajectory, and she should, is we have one life.”
